What ranking titles should we use for our forums?
Q. On our general teen chat forum, we are able to able to assign user ranking according to the amount of posts a member has and we were looking for some creative ideas. So far we have Newbie, but we would like names from 0-15 posts, 16-40, 41-65,66-100, 101-200, 300+ , but we are interested in any general ranking titles. Thanks for the help. :D

A. Well, since it's a "teen chat" forum, why not make each level based on the social rankings of types of teenagers? For instance: 0-15 Outcast 16-40 Nerd 41-65 Band Geek 66-100 Homecoming Court 101-200 Star Quarterback 300+ Teen Idol or something similar. You would probably be better at naming social classes than I, but I think it sounds like a good basic idea.

Military people - help! Need good, active updated forums & chats for Military wives, g/f's & fiancee's?
Q. I have used search engines, I have checked the ones on yahoo groups, everyone I have been to so far is old, hasn't been updated or never used. The best one so far is on myspace but its still not as active as I would like and its a forum only - no chat. Maybe I missed one while I was looking but I thought I had looked in the right places. The latest posts r wks, months or yrs old. Also the chat rooms r empty. PLEASE give me some good, active, updated forums and chat rooms for us if u know of any. Really hope u can help, thanks so much. :)

A. it's the website of a magazine completely about ADHD, has alot of information, I think you can even ask a professional on it, I'm pretty sure it has a community board so you can make posts, etc. www.dailystrength.org has an adhd community with alot of people with ADHD, you can chat, ask questions, get advice, etc. Both good sites, dailystrength has communities for just about anything, you can really get to know others and their experiences hope this helped good luck

Are there any support forums for the spouses of people whose parents have passed away?
Q. My fiance's mom passed away shortly after I met her this past October. I want to be there for him but he won't let me in and I tell him all the time to talk to me about her, share stories, IM HERE but nothing and unfortunately I didn't get the chance to really get to know her. Are people who use Internet Boards representative of the general population?
Q. Recently, I posted something to Yelp!, in which I complained that my apartment had been burglarized while I was in the hospital. I received several extremely cold-hearted responses, and I could hardly imagine human beings treating each other in the manner in which these anonymous posters treated me. Do you think that users of these chat boards tend to have serious mental health problems? Do you think these problems might predispose them to using these anonymous chat forums? Or do you think that use of the chat boards itself tends to cause people to be so "bold" as to say things they would dare not say to a person's face? Actually, I mean any type of anonymous electronic forum.

A. You know that is a very good legitimate question. I remember reading an article about that. That people seem to be able to say things on message boards that you just don't hear in everyday life when people are communicating face to face. Many people would never say the things they say on here to someone if they could look in their eyes. I think you have a point. I wouldn't go so far as to say that people who join message boards are mentally unhealthy...but I do think message forums do present an opportunity for people to take out their anger, low self-esteem, and frustration on people anonymously and so they don't hold back.
