Why are inmates and prisoners allowed so many rights?
Q. Does anyone know why all of these inmates and prisoners in the USA have so many rights? Is it fair we give murderers and rapists all of these rights? I hate criminals and if it were up to me they would all be executed without even going to jail, it would be straight to the sword for beheading. I am so sick of this country and its liberal ways. These lawyers have ruined so many things. Why do we allow criminals to have tv, cable, gyms, classrooms, snacks, jobs, appeals, and any rights in jail. In Saudi Arabia if you steal your hands are amputated that is the way it should be here. If you rape, murder, cheat on your wife are homosexual and so on you are beheaded. A. First, if you don't like the laws in this country, I suggest you move to another country where justice would be carried out at a speed more to your liking. Second, have you ever heard of the phrase "innocent until proven guilty"? The legal system in the United States is made up of humans, who are fallible and do make mistakes. Should an innocent person be summarily executed because you want to speed up the justice system? What if you are accused of a rape or murder that you did not committ? Should we immediately execute you, or force the prosecution to prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt, and also give you a chance to prove your innocence?
