What is some simple romantic dinner ideas for a beach picnic?
Q. I wanna take my boyfriend out for a nice romantic picnic down by the beach for our anniversary, but I'm not sure what to bring for us to eat. I need some good simple romantic dinner Ideas. And we don't drink, not even wine.

A. A grilled chicken breast/pasta salad with cherry tomatoes, green olives, chopped basil and green onion... tossed in a balsamic vinegrett, a sun dried tomato focattia (you can buy them in the bakery dept at the grocery store), some cold jasmine rice with lemon zest, red onion, fresh dill, drissled with a little lemon juice, white wine vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper, and homemade chocolate chip cookies. Bring some white wine for the meal and some champagne for dessert. If you are not old enough to drink, bring a sparkling apple cyder and some hot chocolate in a warming container. No way you could go wrong with that. Now I'm hungry... ;)

Is it really accurate to say romantic relationships are solely based upon evolutionary theory?
Q. Evolutionary psychology tells us that romantic love merely serves as a biological need to procreation. But if that's the case, then how can it be argued in the same school of thought that male promiscuity is "natural"? Why do men fall in love if by nature they are meant to spread their seed? Do these ideas not contradict each other? Can it be argued then that romantic love transcends biology in some ways?

A. Evolutionary theory is almost a tautology. "A trait that enhances a lifeforms ability to replicate gets replicated." There is no 'transcendence' from this. The loving man expends great effort to provide for & protect his loved offspring thus enhancing his genetic survival. But same man may also spread his seed, to unloved & unprotected women - though the chances of the unloved children surviving is lower, this promiscuity costs him very little. The ratio of 'effort to offspring' remains high, especially if some moronic Liberal starts mailing taxpayer dollars to unwed mothers. So why do men commit at all? Well there's a quality issue. What are some romantic, affordable ideas for celebrating a first anniversary?
Q. My girlfriend and I will be celebrating our first anniversary next week. I'm kind of at a loss for romantic ideas that are unique, and also reasonably affordable. We live in a small-ish town, so there isn't a whole lot we haven't done. What can I do?
